About the event
Numbers help us measure and quantify things. We learn them along with running, jumping and eating by ourselves.
Organised numbers are called data.
In today’s world, there is data about everything -
- the size of your foot,
- the time you spend using a phone,
- the traffic on the road,
- the calories in your food
- the size of a country’s economy
Statistics is the science of dealing with this data. It is the art of asking and answering questions using numbers. It isn’t scary, you can start to develop statistical literacy in middle school. Join us to learn how!
This masterclass will show you how numbers and statistics can empower you to ask better questions, understand the world and make better decisions.
Ages 10 + are welcome to join!
