Our Exploring Economics course for grades 6-8 is a fascinating journey into the world of economics, tailored to young, curious minds. This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of economics and how they apply to everyday life decisions. Attendees meet with the course instructor on Saturdays, 5-6:15 PM GST | 6:30 - 7:45 PM IST Course Highlights: - Understanding Choices: Students will explore the variety of choices available in different aspects of life, from academic decisions to daily activities, and learn to analyze these choices through an economic lens. - Costs and Consequences: The course emphasizes understanding the costs associated with different choices and how these choices impact our lives in the short and long term. - Practical Applications: Through interactive activities, students will apply economic concepts to real-life scenarios, such as evaluating the cost of leisure activities versus studying, or understanding the long-term impact of environmental choices. - Critical Thinking: Students will be encouraged to think critically about the unintended consequences of actions, anticipate behaviors of others, and understand the stories behind prices and market dynamics. - Economic Worldview: The course aims to cultivate an economist's perspective in students, helping them see the world through the lens of economic principles and decision-making processes.
